That’s right! A film crew from LA County’s Annual Holiday Celebration is coming to our rehearsal next Tuesday 11/10 to film us. (duh - that’s what film crews do) They are also going to interview some of us too! We think that the footage will be used to promote their event, but I’m not sure where. Hopefully on KCET!
For those of you who do not know about the LA County’s Annual Holiday Celebration, it is most awesome! Since 1964 the Los Angeles County Arts Commission has produced a Holiday Celebration in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion of the Music Center on December 24th. Admission is totally free! Also, it is a multi-cultural event performed by local LA arts organizations, which means you are apt to see some traditional Christmas stuff, and some more modern takes on the holiday. Last year a dance company performed a very interesting and fun interpretation of the Nutcracker Suite. I think there was a dinosaur involved. And what says Happy Holidays more than prehistoric creatures?
So if you are in town Christmas Eve, check it out! And stay tuned for more info on the filming.

i’m off to class, but wanted to post an update so people might have something new to read should they happen upon our little world here. anyway, as i said, rehearsal for our 12th season begins tonight, should be exciting and new (come aboard, we’re expecting you….) as well as old hat for some of us.
more later, maybe we’ll add a few new voices to our blog as well, that would be fun!

when i was in school, summers would come and go so quickly that it seemed we never got to start our vacation, let alone enjoy it. now that i’m an “adult” (marked only by the number of years since i was born and the fact that i pay my own car insurance) i find that once again, summer is speeding on by. it’s already been three weeks since we returned from mexico and very soon we start auditions and rehearsals for our new season.
have you been to the vox website to see what’s up in the coming months?
